Yesterday's dinner, and today's leftovers for lunch:
Spaghetti Carbonara.
It's a recipe I'd never tried before,
but I've been wanting to for a long time.
It was sooo yummy, and the kids loved it!
I used Emeril Lagasse's recipe,
only because it was the first super-simple one I found :)
Gotta keep it basic and easy!
I added peas the second day and it was even better.
While looking around today, I found a blog
mention a carbonara recipe that used farfalle
instead of spaghetti. Even more kid-friendly.
Awesome!

Oooh, I like the idea of a carbonara recipe using farfalle - yumm! That almost empty bowl made me want some - for breakfast:)!
Have you ever made chicken spaghetti? There's an awesome recipe for it on The Pioneer Woman Cooks. I made it and evweryone loved it. When someone asks for seconds, and then later on asks you to make something again, you know it was a big hit:)
Happy Thursday to you and the kids:)
Hi! I have YET to try that PW recipe but ever since I read what you had to say about it on Cinderella11pm--oh man I've been wanting to make it! I think my family would really like it, so it's definitely going to be on the menu soon.
Thank you for being so wonderful and visiting my quiet little blog :) I can't tell you how much it touches me.
p.s. You caught me...it was actually closer to breakfast time than lunch...I couldn't resist!
funny, I just came up with a zucchini carbonara recipe this week and posted it at EMI, Bacon makes so many things better. :) except for cholesterol.
